BLACK LIGHT WINS WHITE MEMORIAL HANDICAP (P.A.) DUNEDIN, March 7. The Cromwell Jockey Club’s meeting concluded yesterday in fine weather, and the track was again in good order. The attendance was much larger than on the first day, and the totalisator handled £10.415 10s, compared with £10,006 10s last year. Jockeys Lodge Appeal An appeal to the Taranaki district committee has been lodged by the Hawera jockeys. L. H. Hifford and B. George, against the suspension imposed on them by the judicial committee of the Egmont Racing Club last Saturday. Clifford was suspended, for one year and Groree for two •onnths after an inquiry into the fail of Equitaire in the Trial Handicap last Saturday.
