MOROTAI WINS JAMES MEMORIAL HANDICAP (P.A.) MASTERTON, March 7. The Masterton Racing Club’s meeting was held yesterday at Opaki, in perfect ■ weather. The track was in good order following watering over the last fortnight. There was a large attendance. The totalisator handled £37,853 10s, compared with £39,031 at the last autumn meeting, a decrease of £1177 10s.
G. Ivil, rider of Greek Court in the Otahuao High-weight, was suspended for one month for crossing Kelmont, which was checked sharply, and in turn interfered with Atomic Energy. Results:—
