REGULAR TALKS WITH SIR S. CRIPPS
EXPECTED INVITATION TO DOMINIONS
LONDON, February 24. It is understood that the Chancellor of the Exchequer (Sir Stafford Cripps) will invite the Dominion High Commissioners in London to meet with him once a fortnight to discuss the economic aspects of Commonwealth relations. It is suggested that this is one sequel to the Australian protest against the grant of dollars made to Egypt from the sterling bloc’s pool. The High Commissioners already have regular meetings with the Ministers at the Commonwealth Relations Office and the Foreign Office.
