MAN’S BODY FOUND IN BUSH

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, January 11. The body of an unidentified man was found lying in some bush at Long Bay this afternoon. Two girls who had ,gone for a walk through the bush made the discovery of the body. The man had a bullet-wound in the head and a revolver was lying at his side. He had been dead for about two days. The constable at Brown’s Bay was advised, but in spite of inquiries in the district the body could not be identified late this evening. The only article found that might have led to immediate identification was a ration book, but the cover bearing the owner’s name and address had been torn off and could not be found.
