FISH
Sir,—Would some knowledgeable person be able to explain whether the wholesalers or the retailers are responsible for the complete shut-down of the fish industry. Evidently these people have no obligation to the consuming public. During periods of sickness and epidemics it is surely extremely important that all members of the community should have available ample fresh fish and so ensure a balanced diet. In. the public interest it would appear that a change of control m this industry is warranted.—Yours, etc., T B.W. January 11, 1948.
