December 30. “We aye proud to be associated in the expert of valuable food commodity to the United Kingdom,’’ said the national president of the New Zealand Fruitgrowers’ Federation (Mr A B. Congdbn) commenting on the announcement by the Minister of Agriculture (Mr E. L. Cullen) that 1,000,000 bushel cases of apples would be shipped in the New Year. Mr Congdon said. the federation was trying to arrange early Shipments of Cox’s Orange. Jonathan, and other early varieties to Britain, with loadings at Nelson and Napier. Most export apples would come from Nelson and The shipment of 1.000,000 cases to Britain would still allow the local market to have a quantity similar to that received last year, he added.
