SHARE-PRICES INDEX
MOVEMENTS SINCE 1935 Share-prices index numbers for individual groups for years ended I September 30 are given in the current issue of the "Abstract of Statistics, the base being calendar year 1938 = IOdO. The average for most groups is well up, the exceptions being gas (down appreciably), minerals (up only 45 points), and banks (up no points). The table is as follows:
