Tentative arrangements have been made for a public service and funeral to be held on Sund<Mr McLagan said after the conference that those present were unanimously of the opinion that a common funeral was the only practical course. The Mayor would get in touch with the leaders of the various churches regarding the service and funeral. When Mr McLagan raised the question of a public funeral at the conference. Mr Holland said there was such widespread grief at the disaster that there would be an immense attendance. Details of the funeral arrangements will be announced leter. The Mayor will meet heads of the churches this morning. At present it is suggested that the service should be non-de-nominational, and should be held either in the King Edward Barracks or in the open air, possibly in Cranmer square.
