ARTICLES FOUND IN BUILDING

HANDBAGS, WATCH, AND RING Several articles have been found by the police among the debris in Ballantyne’s building. They include four handbags but, so far as the police can ascertain, these do not belong to anyone reported missing. They may belong to members of the staff or shoppers who escaped from the building. The articles are—a gold dress ring with the initials M.H. engraved on it: a small oblong wrist watch of gold and pearl shell; a handbag with the name D. Butcher. 131 Opawa road; one with the name V.
