Craig, 33; Miss Parsons and Mrs Thwaites, 33. CRICKET SEFTON BEATS OXFORD Sefton, 159 (J. McNally 68, L. Giles 27, H. Criglington 16, J. Wilson 12), beat Oxford, 158 (D. Grant 63, G. May 18. H. Knight 13), in a junior A grade match played at Sefton on Saturday. Bowling for Oxford, R. Green took two wickets for 41 runs; A. Rossiter, two for 44; and D. Grant, three for 18. Sefton’s most successful bowlers were L. Giles (four for 44), I. McNally (two for 18). P. Ford (one for 20), and H. Sincock (two for 25). MAGISTRATE’S COURT AT RANGIORA On charges of being in possession of liquor near a dance hall while a dance was in progress, George Alexander John Greig, Patrick Raymon Parsons, Raymond Gavin Hopkins, John Douglas Fraser, lan Henry Peters, and Raymond John Sheppard were each fined £3 in the Magistrate’s Court at Rangiora yesterday by Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M. On a similar charge, John Patrick Egan was fined £5.
