THE UNITED NATIONS FLAG RAISED.—The official flag of the United Nations being raised for the first time on October 21 at Flushing Meadow, New York, the meeting place of the General Assembly. Beyond are the flags of the countries which are members of the United Nations. The new standard is light blue, and in the middle, in white, is a polar map embraced in olive branches.
