LIEUTENANT PHILIP MOUNTBATTEN
RECEPTION INTO CHURCH OF ENGLAND LONDON, October 3. The Archbishop of Canterbury (Dr. Geoffrey Fisher), at Lambeth recently, formally received Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten into the Church of England. The proceedings were private, says the Court correspondent of Reuters. No details will be made public. Lieutenant Mountbatten was baptised into the Greek Orthodox Church, Which is in full communion with the Church of England. Lieutenant Mountbatten, during his war service with * the Royal Navy, attended Anglican services.
