STEEL FOR FARM IMPLEMENTS
The Department of Industries and Commerce was urging the .Hardware Merchants’ Guild to request its members to ensure that pipes of steel suitable for agricultural implement manufacture should receive priority of issue, stated the New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation in a letter to the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association recently. The Broken Hill Proprietary was giving priority to the rolling of suitable steel for agricultural implement manufacture, stated the letter, and the requirements of New Zealand would be included in the priority.
