THROUGH THE EYE OF A TELEPHOTO CAMERA.—This remarkable picture was taken with a telephoto lens on Thursday from the roof of the building of Millers, Ltd., in Tuam street. In the far distance are the Southern Alps, and, nearer the camera, the trees of the Christchurch Botanic Gardens stand out in bold relief. In the middle distance are the buildings of Canterbury University College and the roof of King Edward Barracks, and to the right is St. Elmo Courts. The upper part of the Bridge of Remembrance in Cashel street is also shown.
