MIDDLE EAST SERVICES
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 2. Shipping services to the Middle East, which have been opening a new avenue of trade for New Zealand exporters, provide for two-monthly sailings in the December-May period and three-monthly sailings in the JuneNovember period direct to the Middle East, states the Overseas Shipowners’ Allotment Committee, Wellington. Before the war the lines catered for Middle East trade by offering transhipment facilities via London unless a refrigerated vessel was fixed to discharge beef at Suez or Genoa.
