“The Sparkling Waters of Whakatipua” is the title of a book written by Florence Mackenzie (Mrs John Mackenzie, Walter Peak Station, Wakatipu). She is the author of a number of radio talks on the history of Wakatipu. It was as a result of these talks that Mrs Mackenzie wps persuaded to write a full book. This is Mrs Mackenzie’s contribution to the Otago centenary celebrations which will be held next year.
