MARRIED FARM WORKERS
Sir, —I agree with “R.R.M.” up to a point. It is a fact that some people have no care for other people’s property, but I am convinced that does not apply to the real countryfolk, such as myself. I have worked on farms for 20 years and I can assure “R.R.M.” that the places*l have occupied have been in a better state of repair when I left than when I took possession. Without being insulting, I presume “R.R.M.” is sitting on the box seat, with very few family worries;' and I might add that my family has a very hard working mother, who does not refrain from using the cane when necessary. No, my opinion stands; the children are not wanted, they are a menace about the place.—Yours, etc., FED UP. September 29, 1947.
