CRUTCHING SALE AT WANGANUI

PRICES ADVANCE (P.A.) WANGANUI, Sept. 29. The first wool sale of the season was held to-day before a full bench of buyers, when a catalogue of 14,000 bales was offered, comprising 7500 bales of crutchings and oddments, the balance being stock wools offered on behalf of the joint organisation, together with approximately 900 bales of slipes. Compared with values a year ago, the price of' crutchings advanced up to 3d per lb. The official range of prices is as follows:
