CROSSCOUNTRY RUNNING
CONCLUDING EVENTS OF SEASON The final runs of the season were held on Saturday afternoon by Christchurch harrier clubs. Results of the various events were as follows: Presbyterian Club—The trail for a teams’ race was laid by C. C. Gordon and B. Gordon, and the winning team was I. B. White. G. R. Lawn. G. M. Wil locks, and G. N. Bates. J. A. Siper’s team was second. Marist Club.—A three-miies teams’ race was won by F. Sharp. A. OTBryne. and R. Boland. Second place was obtained by J. Daly’s team, and third place by B. O’Connor’s team. Rover Scout Chib.—The annual intercrew Shield and Rover Mug races resulted as follows:—J. Austin. 1: A. Jones. 2; J. Ede 3. Team results:—Richmond. 13 points, I: Cossgrove. 17. 2: Addington, 26. 13. The Inter-troop Shield and White Cup resulted:—R. Townsend (Richmond), 1; J. Worthington (Woolston). 2: R. Hall (Woolston). 3. Teams result: Woolston. 14 points. 1; Riccarton. 31 points. 2: Celtic. 42 points, 3. Christohurch Club.—P. W. Cosgriff won an open handicap race -of four and a half miles. Results were:—P. W Cosgriff. 4min. 1: J. Hodder. smin 30sec. 2: M. Busby. 2rnin 55sec. 3. Time. 25min 45sec. Fastest time: J. Clarke. 23min 32sec Anglican Club.—An event over five and a half miles resulted:—fast pack. J. L. Heal. 1: R J. Atley. 2: P S Fuller. 3 , Medium pack: T. Henshall. 1: T. Locke. 2; G. A-, Walker. 3.
