Hough won the junior title, defeating F. C. Penfold at the thirtyseventh. The final of the Bean Cup resulted tn a win for B. A. Miles, who defeated R. E. Gillespie, 5 and A The Wyn Irwin vase was won by Miss E. Stewart and J. J. Staples, who defeated Mrs J. G. Johnston and L. F. Casey, 2 up. Best scores in a Stableford bogey competition were:—C. W. McCormick, 37; F. Tomlinson 36; L. S. Ayers 34; A. W. Saunders 34. RANGIORA CLUB J. D. Galloway played brilliant golf in the final of the Rangiora Club championshio to beat R. G. Edward. 7 and 6. In the morning, Galloway was four under par, going out in 36 and coming home in 34 Edward’s figures were 42 and 37. In the afternoon both were out in par, and at the twenty-eighth hole Edward reduced his opponent’s lead to 5 up. Galloway won the twenty-ninth with an eagle three, and won the next in par, and the match. In the final of the junior championship, over 36 holes,, G. M. Mehrtens beat T. R. Chinnery 1 up. RICHMOND HILL LADIES’ CLUB In the final of the women’s junior championship, played over 36 holes, Mrs B. Stevens beat Miss L. Foster, 2 up.
