WANGANUI WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
SHIRLEY PLAYER REACHES SEMI-FINALS (P.A.) WANGANUI. Sept. 28. The Wanganui provincial women’s open golf tournament was won to-day by Miss J. Duncan (Wanganui), who beet Miss V. Collins (Wanganui). 1 up. in the final. Miss Duncan recently won the Taranaki tournament. Miss Collins is a secondycar player, and did remarkably well. The only player outside Wanganui to reach the semi-finals was Miss E. Nutt (Shirley), who was beaten by Miss Collins in the semi-final. 4 and 3.
