APPEAL FOR MAKOGAI LEPERS
Sir—Ever since the New Zealand public has taken an interest in our leper friends in the Pacific Islands, the humber of patients annually discharged as cured has increased in a remarkable way. To date 803 sufferers have left Makogai for their homes. Also, a number of patients from other leprosaria have been released. May I once again appeal for the means to continue this good work. Gifts of cash or goods will be much appreciated, and acknowledged by me personally.—Yours, etc., * P. J. TWOMEY. Director. Lepers’ Trust Board, 115 Sherborne street.
