U.S. RELIEF FOR CHINA
30,000,000 DOLLARS FOR SUPPLIES (Rec. 7 pan’) September 14. The united States anfl China are expected to sigh an agreement before the end ot September to provide China with 30,000,000 United States dollars in emergency relief funds. The project is part of the American extension of relief to China and several European hatiohs to fill the gap left by the termination 'of UNRRA ‘activities. The funds will provide essential foods and medicine. The distribution of the money Will be supervised by Americans. The Uhited States reserves the right to name the areas in Which relief will be applied, but the zones under the Coffin muntets are Unlikely to benefit because of distribution difficulties.
