The appointment of Mr Philip Stanley .Foster, of Christchurch, and Sir Charles Ernest Hercus, of Dunedin, to be members of the Medical Council was announced in the Gazette last evening.-^-(P.A.) The appointment for three years of the following members of the Board of Health was notified in the Gazette last evening:—Dr. Muriel Emma Bell, Mr William George Helton, Sir Jaipes Sands Elliott, and Sir Charles Ernest Hercus.—(P.A.) Mr Gf. Jlodge, who has retired from the position of permanent way superintendent of the Christchurch Tramway Board, was met by members of the permanent way staff yesterday, when a presentation was made. Mr Hodge completed 19 years in the board’s service early this year.
