U.N. Repeats Call To Cease Fire CASE REMAINS ON AGENDA (N2. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. S p.m.) NEW YORK, August 26. The United Nations Security Council to-day for the second time called on the Dutch and Indonesians to cease fire. The decision came after the Dutch representative (Dr. van Kieffens) had told the Council that the cease fire order could not be observed if the Indonesian* Republic continued ‘tto incite the Indonesians to murder the Dutch and to burn dwellings.” The President of the Council, Faris el, Khouri (Syria), ruled that to-day’s action completed this stage of the Indonesian case but the matter was left on the agenda for further action if and when it appeared necessary. The Indonesian Republic officially informed the United Nations to-day that it accepted the Security Council’s decision calling for consular reports on the hostilities since the Council’s sail for a cease fire on August 1. It also accepted the Council’s offer of good offices in the Indonesian dispute.
