GUERRILLA GROUPS IN

The Vienna correspondent of the “Manchester Guardian” says that antiTito guerrilla groups are operating in various parts of Jugoslavia. These include an army of 20,000 of General Mikhailovic’s old Chetniks in western. Serbia, 50,000 armed supporters of the underground Peasant Party, who are in the mountains round Zagreb, the Croat capital, and a smaller guerrilla group operating on the Montenegrin border. The guerrillas are receiving some clandestine support from Austria, Germany, and Italy, where Ante Pavelic, the Croat quisling leader, is believed to be in hiding and is directing operations.
