MOTOR CYCLE TRIALS AT HALSWELL
WARNING ISSUED TO RIDERS AND OFFICIALS A warning had been issued to riders and officials who took part in the series of motor-cycle trial races held at the Halswell Domain last Saturday, stating that if they continued to participate in similar meetings they would be “black listed” by every affiliated Uub in New Zealand, said Mr T. R. McLeary (a Canterbury representative on the Dominion Executive of the New Zealand Auto Cycle Club) last evening. He explained that the organisers of the meeting on Saturday were not affiliated with the Auto Cycle Union, which controlled the sport. Although they maintained that they intended to select a team to represent Canterbury at fixtures on the West Coast next month, such a team could t-.nly be selected from clubs which were affiliated to the Auto Cycle Union. Any connexion with the trials has been disclaimed by the Canterbury Auto Cycle Club, the Pioneer Motor Club, and the Corsair Motor Club.
