MAN SENTENCED AT DARFIELD

FAILED TO ENROL IN NATIONAL RESERVE When James Daniel Quigley, aged 37, a labourer, appeared before Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Darfield on Tuesday, he pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to register in the National Reserve. He was sentenced to three months' imprisonment. Constable W. J. Cogswell prosecuted. It was stated that there was no suggestion that the accused tried ,to evade his responsibilities.
