A YOUNG MOTHER’S DIFFICULTY

Sir, —How can I, a young mother, help to agitate for day and night nurseries, so that I can take a more active part in my local civic affairs? I know there must be many women who I would derive great benefit from such ' nurseries, not only so that they could participate in local affairs, but so that they could get out and enjoy sports, dancing, and social gatherings with their husbands before they grow too old bodily and mentally to enjoy what all young folk, be they mothers or otherwise, are entitled to do. Don’t think they would take the place qf mothers’ love and influence. A few days away now and again would never remove those bonds, but probably strengthen their appreciation of them. —Yours, etc., (MRS) A. 11. WALTON. August 24, 1947.
