EGYPTIAN POLICE STOP BRITISH PURSUIT (Reel 7 pun.) CAIRO. August 24. Forty German prisoners of war escaped from a camp Vin the Britishoccupied Suez Canal zone and hid in Egyptian villages. British troops with machine-guns chased them in armoured cars. Egyptian police stopped the troops at the limits of the zone and refused to allow them to pass. The troops complied with the police order and returned to camp.
