DESERTIONS FROM SHIPS
TWENTY MEN LEAVE ON SAME DAY
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, August’23. Twenty men had deserted from the Tamaroa on August 14 and 11 deserted from the Rangitiki in Auckland on tire same day, shipping company representatives said in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday morning, when four Tamaroa deserters and two Rangibki deserters were sentenced to Oiie month’s imprisonment each.
