DANISH EXPORTS TO BRITAIN
POSSIBLE EFFECTS OF STERLING DECISION (Rec. 7 p.m.) COPENHAGEN, August 21.
Danish political circles in Copenhagen said that Britain’s sterling convertibility ban would compel Denmark to divert a considerable part of her agricultural exports which usually go to Britain, to countries able to pay with dollars or convertible currency. Danish officials said that the continuance of Denmark’s exports of agricultural produce to Britain depended on dollars for buying feed and other necessities.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Food in London said Britain had a long-term contract assuring Denmark of a market for her butter, bacon, and eggs at prices higher than the Dnpjininnfi
