BASIC RATIONS IN BRITAIN
NO CUT TO BE MADE (Rec. 11 p.m.) LONDON, August 22. Mr A. Moyle, Labour member of the House of Commons for Stourbridge, who is Mr Attlee’s Parliamentary private secretary, in a speech at Oldbury, said that the reductions in British imports to meet the economic crisis would not mean a cut in the basic rations, but there might be a reduction in the supplies of other foodstuffs.
