(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, Aug. 22. Shannon was scratched from the Epsom Handicap to-day. After consultation with the trainer, Frank Dalto.n, Shannon’s new owner, Mr W. J. Smith, decided that the champion should be reserved for weight-for-age events.
