BALLOT FOR MOUNT PAUL SECTIONS
FORMER SERVICEMEN Successful applicants for sections on the Mount Paul farm settlement were Messrs C. J. Stackhouse. W. P. Whinray, A. D. Galletly, and J. P. Egan. They will work on the property for wages until they are able to buy their section when the farm is sub-divided. Applications were open to former servicemen, of whom 11 applied. The ballot was drawn before a representative of the Rahabilitation Department, the Commissioner for Crown Lands, and an independent scrutineer. The settlement has a total area of 19,300 acres. It was formerly known ,as the Mount Paul station arid is part of the Lindon station. It is approximately one and a half miles from Waiau and 85 miles from Christchurch,
