SUPERIOR PLAY BY BACKS
(P.A.) WANGANUI. August 3. Wanganui Rugby representatives beat Manawatu on Saturday by 36 points to 6. Manawatu had a greater share of the ball, but Wanganui broke up attacks close to the scrum, and its backs were vastly superior. Manawatu scored two tries in the first half. Wanganui’s score was made up of six tries, two penalty goals, one field goal, and four conversions. NORTH CANTERBURY SUB, UNION No senior games will be played in the North Canterbury Sub-Union’s competitions next Saturday. The junior draw is as follows:—A grade: Ko v. N.C. (Mr A.
