TEAROOMS BROKEN INTO

The premises of the Clifton tearooms, 60 Cathedral square, were entered on Monday evening and £4 worth of chocolates and about 61b of butter stolen. A bottle of wine was also taken, and a bottle of beer, left on the premises by the proprietor, Mr S. B. Holder, was drunk by the thieves. Mr Holder, a former sergeant of police, who retired from the Force last year, arrived at the tearooms yesterday morning to find the premises ransacked.
