APPOINTMENTS BY COLLEGE COUNCIL
The following appointments were approved- by the Canterbury University College Council yesterday afternoon:—Mr A. V. Barley, assistant master at the Christchurch Boys’ High School; Mr H. W. Rhodes, as a representative of lecturers on the Professorial Board in succession to Dr. H. N. Parton, who is now a member in his own right as an associate professor; Dr. R. O. Buchanan, as visiting lecturer in geography for the first two terms of 1948, and Mr W. P. Packard as temporary assistant lecturer in geography in 1948; Professor R. J. Rastrick. as a Professorial Board representative on the Academic Board of the University of New Zealand, in place of Professor P. H. Powell; Mr R. J.. Jacobs, as acting preparator of the Canterbury Museum.
