N.Z. ICE-SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS
The New Zealand ice skating championships were held at Idaburn dam, Otunehua, last Saturday. The following are the results:—
Men’s figure skating (Harold Richards Memorial Cup).—R. Hosken 1, B. Tufrail and J. I. O’Kane (equal) 2, T. C. Grigg 4 Women’s figure skating (Elfrida Richards Challenge Cup): Miss P. Barker 1, Mrs C. Gilkison 2, Miss P. Wanklyn 3. Dancing: B. Tufrail and Mrs C. Gilkison 1, R. Hosken and Miss P. Barker and T. C. Grigg and Miss P. Wanklyn (equal) 2. Pairs championship: B. Tufrail and Mrs C. Gilkison 1. Men’s speed skating: 229 yards, N. Weir 1; 880 yards and mile and a half, J. J. O’Kane 1. Women’s speed skating: 220 yards and 880 yards, Miss L. M. Weir 1.
