BRITISH RECORDS SET BY SCOTTISH GIRL (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, July 27. A 16-year-old Scotitsh girl, Cathie Gibson, by etsablishing two records last Friday and a third yesterday, was the outstanding performer at the British national swimming championships at Hastings. Miss Gibson on Friday won the 440 yards women’s free-style in smin 23.25ec —6sec beter than her own previous British record. In the 220 yards she returned 2min 29J2sec, beating her own British record of 2min 31.5 sec. Miss Gibson yesterday beat the European title holder, a French girl, Minique Berkoux, in the 100 yards backstroke in 70.4 sec.
