DUTCH COMMISSION’S ATTITUDE (Rec. 11 p.m.) AMSTERDAM, July 26. The Dutch Commission-General to Indonesia did not support Dutch military action in Indonesia, said Mr Frans Toedhart, a Labour member of the Dutch Parliament, on his arrival from the Netherlands East Indies. Mr Toedhart said that the LieutenantrGovernor (Dr. H. J. van Mook), after meeting the commissioners, Professors Schermerhorn and van Poll, sent a cable message to the Dutch Government on his own account, stating that it was unanimously agreed that there w r as no other possibility than military action.
Professor Schermerhorn then sent a cable message to the Dutch Prime Minister (Dr. Beel) saying that he did not agree with the turn events were taking.
