TWO MINOR FIRES ON SATURDAY

Some bales of sacks on the premises of Radley Brothers’ store, Lichfield street, were found to be on fire when the Christchurch Fire Brigade arrived in response to a call at 4.52 p.m. on Saturday. Slight damage to the building and its contents was caused. Three minutes after this call was received, the brigade was called to 256 Barrington street to put out a chimney fire in premises occupied by John Everard Seal. No damage was caused.
