PATIENT FLOWN TO DUNEDIN
DRAGONFLY’S FLIGHT AS AMBULANCE
Suffering from an abscess on his spine, and unable to be transported for any distance except by air, a patient was flown to Taieri aerodrome on Saturday by the Canterbury Aero Club’s Dragonfly. The man was taken to Harewood by St. John ambulance. He was going to Dunedin for medical treatment and was carried on a stretcher in the aircraft, which was flown by the club’s chief instructor, Mr L. F. Poore.
Flying conditions on Saturday were very good, and the air was smooth. The aircraft returned later in the day.
