HORNBY CLUB The Hornby Cycling Club’s 25-mile championship, held on Saturday, was won by K. Johnston. Results were:— Senior.—K. Sutherland (smin) 1, H. Milner (3smin) 2, R. Court (smin) 3. Fastest time: K. Johnston (scr) 1, T. Nicholson (scr) 2. Time, Imin smin 50sec. In the junior section, L. Kerr, 2smin. secured fastest time in Imin 7min 49sec. Canterbury Centre The Canterbury Amateur Cycling Centre held a 40-mile road race on Saturday, L. Lock, of the Avon Club, winning narrowly from L. Percasky (Avon). Results were:—L. Lock 1, L. Percasky 2. R. Craib 3. Time, lhr 39min 20sec. Fastest time: V. Martin 1, R. Elliot 2. Time, lhr 38min 49 l-ssec.
