CONSUL-GENERAL’S MESSAGE TO PRIME MINISTER (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 25. The Prime Minister (Mr P. Fraser) has received the following reply from the Prime Minister of Belgium through the Consul-General (Mr Armand Nihotte) in reply to Mr Fraser’s message on the occasion of the Belgian National Day last Monday: “The Belgian Government and people are deeply touched by the friendly message of the Government and the people of New Zealand. I thank you most sincerely for the congratulations which on behalf of New Zealand you have expressed to Belgium for the work of reconstruction accomplished since the war. We are as convinced as you are that the friendship which has existed for so long between our two countries will always be maintained.”
