JEWS SENT BACK FROM HAIFA
FRENCH CABINET’S ATTITUDE PARIS. July 23. The Minister of War Veterans (Mr Mitterand) said that France would not prevent the illegal immigrants who are being sent back from Haifa from landing in France, nor would France employ force or pressure to persuade them to leave the ships. He added that the Government would provide the immigrants with rations whether they remained aboard or landed in France.
