Mrs Peron (shown above), wife of the President of Argentina, was last night made a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour. The decoration was presented to her by the French Foreign Minister (Mr Bidault) after he had signed in her presence a commercial treaty under which Argentina grants France a credit of £37,000,000 for food purchases. —Paris, July 24.
