CARGO PILLAGING
Sir,—Your paper states that watersiders objected to methods employed to detect pil ering. What about the wife and mother who objects to stolen property in her home? I know of a case where, on account of her son, an adolescent, a mother raised strong objections, but was told “They all ao it, and you are always worrying over trifles.” This man was a mean skinflint in his own home, begrudging a day’s outing or an evening’s amusement. The sins of the fathers are visited upon the sons.—Yours, etc., GRAN. July 22, 1947.
