KON TIKI RAFT’S POSITION

300 MILES FROM PUKAPUKA (Rec. 9 p.m.) NEW YORK. July 21. The Norwegian Kon Tiki raft expedition radioed to-day that they were within 300 miles of Pukapuka Island, in the Tuamotu group. On its arrival at Pukapuka the raft will have drifted 3900 miles since it left Callao, Peru, on April 29. The expedition, after making landfall at Pukapuka, wdl .continue to Tahiti.
