Welterweight Bout in New York.— Marty Servo, a former welter-weight champion, opening a come-back tonight, knocked out Benny Singleton of Waterbury, Connecticut, in 45 seconds of the second round. It was Servo’s first fight since March, 1946, when he suffered a nose injury in a bout with Rocky Graziano, the present middle-weight champion. The New York State Athletic Comfiiission suspended Servo indefinitely when he announced that he would not be able to defend his title against Ray Robinson because of his nose injury.
